Back-to-School Organization Tips

It’s finally time to get back to school — the moment all of us have been waiting for! One thing we might not be used to since the pandemic is the organization that we once had. There are many things that can help you and your kids stay organized. Here are a few tips to help you get back into it!

Create a Spot for Cubbies
Creating a designated spot for cubbies at home will allow your children to keep their belongings neatly organized. Think of it as their own personal locker and let them design it how they would like so it's more them! The best place is either in the doorway when they walk into the home or right in their bedroom.

Designate a Breakfast and Snack Station
Designate a spot in the kitchen for their breakfast, after-school snacks, and lunches. This will help you manage the mess and stay organized. It can be as simple as a cabinet, the lower drawer in your fridge, or labeled bins on the counter. Also, try to keep bowls, utensils, and lunchboxes in a lower area that’s easy for younger kids to reach. Be sure to keep it stocked with their favorite healthy food and drinks!

Set Up a Study Space
It is very important during these times to have a study space. You must remove all distractions, have easy access to everything you need before you start, and adjust your study space to the ideal temperature. Implement rules, such as no phone or food at the desk. Boost their motivation and concentration by following those guidelines.

All that you need to do is set up a few of these organizational hacks as your child is getting back to school and you will be able to see what a difference it can make in the organization of your home!
